Email Application Checklist
1. Passport:
The passport must be signed and it should have a minimum of six months validity and two blank pages.
2. Photograph: A passport sized photograph with a light background, taken within the last two weeks should be submitted. In the photograph, the applicant should make sure that he or she is maintaining a neutral facial expression.
3. Visa application form:
All applicants are required to fill the visa application forms online on the embassy system. However a small mistake can lead to you visa being rejected. Hence, complete our online questionnaire from section D below and we will email you a completed embassy visa application form, ready for you to sign. 4. Passport of the inviter:
Passport copy of the Nigerian inviter should be submitted. If the inviter is not a citizen of Nigeria, copy of valid residence permit should be submitted.
5. Livelihood proof:
Last three months bank statement of the applicant should be submitted. In the bank statement, there should be a minimum credit of £500.
6.Applicant’s formal letter:
A formal letter addressed to ‘High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX’ should be submitted. This letter should mention the applicant’s name, date of birth, address and the intended duration of stay in Nigeria.
7. Invitation Letter:
An invitation letter from the host in Nigeria should be submitted. This letter should be addressed to ‘High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX’. This letter should briefly introduce the traveler, and should guarantee his or her immigration responsibilities.
8. Certificate of Marriage:
If the applicant is being invited by the spouse, the original and copy of the marriage certificate should be submitted.
