Kenya Entry requirements for UK citizens
All foreign nationals except the citizens
of 43 selected countries required a visa to enter Kenya. When it comes to citizens
of the United Kingdom, obtaining a visa is a must, and entering the country
without a visa will lead to serious legal consequences.

Kenya e-visas
Kenya e-visas are electronically issued by

- The

Photograph

should face the photo straight, with eyes open.

background of the photo should be either white or any other light color.

should be noted that there should be now shadows either on the photos nor
on the background.
- There
should be no borders in the photograph.
Regular Kenya visas
For obtaining a regular Kenya visa, the foreign
national should visit the Kenyan High Commission, and should fill the visa

Different types of Kenya visas

The validity of a normal Kenya e-tourist visa
will be 90 days. However, if you want multiple entry, you can apply for
multiple entry regular visas, and it will offer a validity of either six months
or one year as per the need of the traveler.
Requirements to obtain a tourist e-visa

should be submitted to obtain a tourist e-visa.
- The
copy of the passport should be uploaded. The passport of the foreign
national should have at least six months validity, and it should also have
at least one blank page.
- The

- Should
have proof of flight onward and return flight tickets.

produce proof of hotel reservation.
- The
photograph should be taken within the last six months.
- It
is also recommended to submit a letter of invitation from the host in

- If

submit the residence permit/work permit/student permit.
- The
applicant should also completely fill the e-visa questionnaire.
Special note: Minors (children under the
age of 18), if traveling of their own should submit a consent letter from
either parent.
How to obtain multiple entry Kenya visas?
Multiple entry Kenya visas are usually
issued to foreign nationals who wish to enter the country multiple times during
the visa validity period. In order to obtain a multiple entry Kenya tourist
visa, the foreign national should submit a personal statement that details the
necessity of a multiple entry visa.
Apart from the personal statement, the
foreign national should also submit all the documents that are needed to obtain
a e-tourist visa. The traveler should also produce proofs of three previous
Kenya visits.
Special note: Sometimes, the foreign
national will not be granted multiple entry visa, as these visas are issued
solely at the discretion of the Kenyan authorities.
Kenya business visa
Kenya business visas are issued to foreign
nationals including citizens of the United Kingdom who want to enter the
country for business-related conferences, seminars and other commercial trading
activities.
Foreign nationals should understand that a Kenya business visa will
not allow people to do work in the country.

- The
UK citizen should submit his or her national passport which has six months

How to obtain a work permit to work in Kenya?

Recently, the
government of Kenya had insisted that all foreign nationals working in the
country should have all the necessary supporting proofs and necessary work

Kenya Diplomatic official visa

for Kenya Diplomatic official visa to enter the country. Please find below the

diplomatic official visa.
- The
foreign national should submit documents that prove that he or she is
traveling on official duty to Kenya.
- The
UK citizen is responsible for submitting valid national
Diplomatic/Official/Service passport. The passport should have six months
validity, and it should have two blank pages.
- The
applicant should also submit a recently taken photograph.
- The
application form should be properly filled and signed.
Kenya Transit Visas

transit visa. If you want to apply for a transit visa, your passport should
have at least six months validity with two blank pages.
However, if you are staying in Kenya for

Kenya East African Visas

onward and return tickets.
- Copy
of hotel room booking confirmation should be submitted.
Special note: Kenya East African Visas is
only for tourist purposes, and it cannot be extended. It should be also noted
that foreign nationals are not supposed to engage in paid or unpaid work during
their stay in these countries.
Kenya Referred Visas
Citizens of countries including Afghanistan,
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, North Korea, Eritrea, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon,
Libya, Mali, Palestine, Senegal, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan and Yemen cannot
obtain visas to Kenya via electronic means.
Instead, they are supposed to send their
visa applications referred to the Director of Immigration Services, Nairobi. It
should be noted that the approval of these referred visas cannot be guaranteed,
as the visa sanction will made upon the sole discretion of Kenyan government
authorities.
