when you pass through designated e-visa ports.
India Medical Visa:
You must apply for a medical visa when traveling to India for medical treatment
in a hospital, treatment center, or specialized hospital in India. These treatments
must be significant, such as neurosurgery, heart problems, renal disorders, eye
disorders, congenital disorders, organ transplantation, gene-therapy, joint replacement,
or radiotherapy.
You must show important documents discussing the kind of treatment, and the signature
and stamp from a doctor or hospital are required. Each India medical visa allows
two attendants to visit — both should be blood relatives of the patient.
The attendants should apply for a separate medical escort visa that has the same
validity as the medical visa. If a doctor is accompanying a patient, then he or
she will be granted a medical attendant visa. Medical visas are valid for nearly
one year or for the period of treatment, whichever may be less from the date of
issue.
Medical Escort Visa:
The relatives who travel with the patient for the treatment to India need to apply
for a medical escort visa. The medical escort visa will only be granted when the
patient has been granted a medical visa for the treatment of a disease that is treated
in a treatment center or hospital.
Only two people will be allowed to accompany the patient and a declaration made
by the patient is required for this kind of visa. A medical escort visa will have
the same validity as a medical visa of the patient who will go to India for the
treatment. If you have any more questions about an India visa UK application, get
