Everything you need to know about a Kyrgyzstan visa
For
visits spanning up to 60 days, British nationals don’t need a visa to enter
Kyrgyzstan as the United Kingdom falls under the list of visa-waiver countries.
However, the visa-free option is valid only for tourism and business visits.
You
cannot exceed your granted stay under any condition and neither can you apply
for a visa in Kyrgyzstan.
If you fail to comply with these rules, you might
have to pay a heavy fine. In order to be granted entry without a visa, please
carry a 6-month valid UK passport, proof of onward or return travel, and
evidence of sufficient funds.
Now,
if your visit exceeds the 60-day limit, you can apply for a visa through the
Kyrgyz Embassy in London.
There’s also an option to obtain a visa on arrival
after reaching the Bishkek airport. You can apply for an extension of a VOA at
the Kyrgyz Government office, located at 66, Razzakova Street, Bishkek.
The
other option is to apply for a tourist or business e-visa. These categories of visas are
valid for up to 90 days and do not come with the facility of extension within
Kyrgyzstan.
You can use an e-visa only at specific entry points, including
Manas Airport, Bishkek, Osh international airport and the Ak-Jol border
crossing leading to Kazakhstan.
As
we already mentioned, you can also apply for a traditional visa if your planned
stay period is over two months. A three months visa is granted by the Embassy
of the Kyrgyz Republic in the UK.
It is issued either in single or multiple
entries. Below is the complete address of the embassy in the United Kingdom:

UK Emergency Travel Documents
The Kyrgyzstan authorities accept UK Emergency Travel Documents at points of entry, airside transit and exit from the nation. If you use an ETD to depart from Kyrgyzstan, you should also secure an exit visa from the OVIR (the Department for Visa and Registration under the Ministry of Internal Affairs). This process can take up to five business days.
Registration after arriving in Kyrgyzstan
Currently, you no longer need to register yourself in Kyrgyzstan even if your stay exceeds five days. You will however need to register with the State Registration Service if you are visiting for more than 60 working days.
This process must be completed within five days after you arrive in the country.
There is an electronic services portal through which you can register online with the State Registration Service office. Foreign citizens, who are residing in Kyrgyzstan can also register foreign visitors staying with them.
