Saudi
Cultural Bureau UK
The Cultural Bureau of the Saudi
Arabian Embassy in London deal with matters relating education, science and verification
of documents for Saudi embassy attestation.
They are a critical link between
UK educational and research institutions and Saudi Arabia, creating strategic
cooperation based on shared cultural and scientific interests.
One of the primary roles of the
Saudi Cultural Bureau is to maintain and develop links with academic
institutions in the UK.
How
does the Saudi Cultural Bureau help with VISA attestation?
Certain visa applications like
the Saudi work visa will need applicants to attest academic certificates from
the embassy in London.
However, before attestation,
these documents need to be verified by the Saudi cultural bureau. Normally, if
a country is member of the Hague convention, the documents are verified by the
Foreign and Commonwealth office.
As Saudi Arabia is not part of
the Hague convention. Hence the role of verification is done by the Saudi
Cultural Bureau.
Which documents can Saudi Cultural Bureau (SACB) attest?
The SACB can attest all academic
certificates and documents like transcripts and degree certificates.
These certificates must be from an
accredited UK institute. The taught modules must be classroom based and not
distance learning or online modules.
Application will be rejected if
the name on the degree certificate is not the same as it is on the applicant’s
passport. This includes full name including any middle names.
If you have a different name or
have changed your name since receiving your qualification then you must first
get a legalised change of name certificate and include it with the passport.
Any documents issued by private bodies
like companies or individuals will not be attested. These include experience
letters, training certificates, incorporation certificates etc.
How can I apply for SACB verification?
The verification can be done online at the Saudi Arabia Cultural Bureau's official website in
London.
Certificates must be issued by a
UK institution that has been accredited. If the documents is not issued by a UK
institute then you must contact the Saudi Cultural Attaché in the country of
origin, as the UK office will not validate it.
Once application is approved and
documents attested, the confirmation can be accessed online on their website https://attestation.uksacb.org/approved
