Saudi Embassy London
Legalisation
When a document is legalised,
the government entity legalising it declares that the document is genuine,
valid, and that the information on the document is accurate.
When documents issued by foreign
governments are used for official purposes like Saudi visa applications, work
placements, commercial reasons etc., such verification / authentication of
documents is required.
The Foreign and Commonwealth office in the UK normally verifies
documents issued by countries that are members of the Hague Convention.
Since the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia is not a signatory of the Hague Convention, all documents not issued by
any Saudi Arabia official body must first get recognized by the Saudi Arabian
embassy in London. Only after embassy legalisation, they can be used in Saudi Arabia for a visa, employment, registration, commercial, or other purposes.
