Tourist visas are issued to foreign nationals who plan to enter the country for tourism-related activities.

Please find below the necessary documents that are needed to obtain Slovakia tourist visas.

• The foreign national should submit the passport, and it should have a minimum validity of six month, and two blank pages.
• Two photographs of the applicant taken within the last three months should be submitted. Please note that these photographs should be taken in a white background, and in the photograph, the applicant should maintain a neutral facial expression.
• The traveler residing in the United Kingdom should submit the ILR card or proof of residence status. Please note that this residence proof has a validity of six months after completing the trip to Slovakia.
• It is necessary to submit the full version of the itinerary. This itinerary should be sent directly by an airline company or a travel agency. The validity of the visa will be determined by authorities in Slovakia based on this itinerary.
• An employment letter issued by the applicant’s employer in the UK should be submitted. This employment letter should be addressed to the Slovakia High Commission. This UK company letter should state that a leave has been granted to the traveler, and he or she will return to work after completing foreign trip. Self-employed travelers can submit the copy of business license or tax return. If the traveler is retired, he or she can submit proof of retirement funds.
• Copy of hotel room booking reservation should be submitted.
• A recent bank statement stamped by the issuing bank should be submitted. Please note that this bank statement should show a minimum balance of £600.
• A travel insurance valid throughout the Schengen area should be submitted. Please note that this insurance is issued in the United Kingdom, and it is providing a minimum coverage of €30,000 for medical emergency and repatriation.
