Angola. UK citizens can either apply for an e-visa or regular visa to enter

business e-visa
Angola
business e-visas are electronic travel authorizations issued to foreign nationals

- An invitation letter from the
host in Angola should be submitted to get an Angola tourist visa. The
invitation letter from the Angolan entity should detail all the details of

Note:
The invitation letter is needed only when the foreign national is planning to

Angola
regular business visa
Angola
business visas are issued to foreign nationals who plan to visit the country
for business-related operations and commercial trading activities. Please find

- The passport should have nine
months validity and it should have two blank pages. Please note that the blank
pages should be opposite facing each other.
- It is necessary to submit two
passport-sized photographs taken within the last three months. The photograph
should be taken in a white background, and the applicant should make sure
that he or she is maintaining a neutral facial expression in it. The applicant
is not allowed to wear any headwear in the photograph unless it is fore
religious purposes.
- The applicant should submit a
UK company letter detailing all information about the trip. This business
introduction letter from the UK company should be addressed to The
Consular Section of the Embassy of Angola, 46 Bedford Square, London, WC1B
3DP.
- The traveler should submit a
letter of invitation from the company in Angola. The invitation letter
should be written in Portuguese language in the company’s official
letterhead. The letter should cover all the details of the traveler that
includes name of the traveler, other details like passport number, nationality,
applicant’s designation in the UK company etc. The letter should also
detail the nature of the work project in Angola, and dates of travel.
Please note that the invitation letter should be issued within the last three
months.
- Address proof in the United
Kingdom should be submitted. The address proof can be either the electricity
bill, water bill or driving license featuring the address in the United
Kingdom.
- The applicant should produce proof
of sufficient funds by submitting the bank statements with a minimum
credit balance of USD 200 per day.

short term visa
Angola
short term visas allow foreign nationals to stay in the country for a maximum
of 7 days, and it can be extended. Please make sure that these visas are used
within 72 hours of its issuance. These visas can be obtained by foreign

signed visa that has at least nine months validity and two blank pages.

Angola
work visa
Foreign
nationals who intend to work in Angola can apply for a work visa. Please note
that Angola work visas could not be obtained via online, and applicants should
apply for these visas via the Angolan embassy. Please find below the documents
that should be submitted to obtain an Angola work visa.
- A nine-month valid passport
with two blank pages should be submitted. If your passport is not valid
for nine months, please renew it before submitting the application.
- The applicant should submit a
recently taken photograph that is taken in a white background.
- The UK citizen should submit a
medical certificate issued by the applicant’s healthcare provider. The
medical certificate should be translated into Portuguese language by a
translator, and recognized by Public Notary and legalized by the Foreign and

- An International Certificate
of Vaccination along with a color copy of the yellow fever certificate

- The foreign national who wishes
to work in Angola should also submit a criminal record certificate, and it
should be translated into Portuguese language.
- The traveler should submit a
law commitment statement, that assures that visitor will abide Angolan laws
while inside the country. The statement should be legalized by the public
notary and legalized by Consulate General.
- A letter issued by the Angolan
company where the foreign national will be working should be submitted. This
letter should detail all the details of the foreign national that includes
his or her date of full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number,
passport expiry date, name of the employer etc. This letter should be
addressed to the Consulate General of the Republic of Angola in the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with a copy to Serviço de
Migração e Estrangeiros (SME) in Luanda. The letter should also state that
the company in Angola will be responsible for the stay and repatriation of
the applicant while inside the country.
- A curriculum vitae translated
to Portuguese language should be submitted. The curriculum vitae should be
recognized by Public Notary and legalized by the Foreign &
Commonwealth Office (FCO) and by the Consulate General.
- A work contract verified by
the Notary should be submitted.
- The applicant should submit
educational and professional certificates translated to Portuguese language.
These documents should be recognized by the Public Notary and legalized by
the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and by the Consulate General.
- An endorsement issued by the Body
Trusteeship (Órgão de Tutela) should be submitted if the Angolan company
is in private sector. If the Angolan company is in the public sector, an endorsement
issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social
Security (Ministério da Administração Pública, Trabalho e Segurança
Social) should be submitted.
- Private institutions in Angola
should also provide the business license of the company.
Note:
After entering Angola with a work visa, the foreign national should obtain a
residence permit by visiting the Angolan diplomatic and consular missions.

ordinary visa
Angola
ordinary visas are issued to foreign nationals who plan to visit the country
for family reasons or business prospecting. These visas have a validity of 60
days, and it allows a UK citizen to stay in the country for a maximum period of
30 days.

residence permit is granted, the foreign national can seek employment in
