My child is nine years old. Should I need to take him for the biometric (fingerprint) process to obtain China tourist visa?

No, there is no need to take biometric for your child if he is nine years old. As per new rules, all foreign nationals aged between 14 and 70 are required to complete the biometric (fingerprint) process to obtain the China visa. However, for children below 14 years, and adults above 70 years, the biometric process is not mandatory. If you are a foreign national with ten mutated fingers, you will be exempted from the biometric process.

What are the specifications while taking photograph for China tourist visa?

A recently taken photograph should be submitted. Please note that the photo should be taken in color format, and it should have a white background.
