Email Application Checklist
1. Passport:
The passport must be signed and it should have a minimum of six months validity and two blank pages.
2. Photograph: Two passport sized photographs with a light background, taken within the last six months. In the photograph, the applicant should make sure that he or she is maintaining a neutral facial expression.

An invitation letter from the host company in Malawi should be submitted. The letter should explain the purpose of the trip, planned travel dates, and should also guarantee sufficient funds. This invitation letter should be addressed to the Consulate of Malawi, Visa Section.
5. Letter of Invitation:
This letter should contain the details of the host and visitor. The letter should detail the purpose of the visit, and accommodation details. If the invitation is being sent by a Malawi national, it is necessary to submit the notarized copy of his or her ID Card. If sent by a non-Malawi citizen, it is necessary to submit the passport copy.
6. Travel proofs:
Proof of onward and return tickets should be submitted.
7. Livelihood proof:
Bank statement of the applicant should be submitted as a proof of sufficient funds.
8. Accommodation details:
Details of confirmed hotel room reservation should be provided. The reservation proof should carry details that include name of the applicant and the duration of stay.
