tourist visa
Foreign
nationals who want to enter Iraq exclusively for tourism-related activities can
apply for an Iraq tourist visa. Please note that these visas are issued only
for tourism activities, and foreign nationals are not supposed to engage in any
other activities inside Iraq using these travel documents.
UK
citizens who are planning to enter Iraq can obtain a visa on arrival.
In order
to obtain a visa on arrival, the traveler should meet the below-mentioned
guidelines.
- The traveler should make sure
that he or she is arriving at Erbil or Sulaymaniyah only.
- The passport of the traveler
should have at least six months validity and a minimum of one blank page
for markings.
- The UK citizen visiting Iraq
should hold proof of sufficient funds.
- Once you reach the entry port,
it is necessary to submit onward and return flight tickets.
- It is necessary to hold all
the documents that detail the purpose of the trip.
- The applicant should hold all
the documents required for the next destination.
- The traveler should also
confirm with the airline that boarding is permitted without a visa, as
these rules are subject to change.
Iraq
business visa
Iraq
business visas are issued to foreign nationals who wish to enter the country
for business-related activities like commercial sale trading.
In order to get a
business visa, foreign nationals should submit the documents mentioned below.

The passport of the applicant
should have at least six months validity. Please note that the passport
submitted also has one blank page.
- Two passport-sized photographs
should be submitted. These photographs should be taken within the last six
months in a white background. These photographs should show the full-frontal
face of the applicant’s head with the face centered in the middle.
- The applicant should submit
onward and return flight tickets to visit Iraq, or the full version of the
itinerary.
- In order to prove the
applicant’s financial health, it is necessary to submit bank statements
issued in the last three months.
- The applicant should submit a
business letter issued by his or her company in the United Kingdom. This
letter should detail the nature and purpose of the foreign national’s
visit, along with the nature of the business that will be conducted in Iraq.
This business letter should also specify the type and desired validity of the
Iraq business visa. The UK company should also guarantee sufficient funds
for the traveler during the trip.
- A business invitation letter
issued by the inviting company in Iraq should be submitted. This business invitation
letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Iraq, and it should be signed
by a senior manager in the company. This letter should briefly introduce
the applicant, and should detail the type of business that is going to be
conducted in Iraq.
- As a proof of accommodation,
the foreign national should submit hotel room booking reservation details.
Please note that this copy of confirmed hotel room booking reservation
should show the name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, and
the duration of stay.
- A travel insurance policy
valid in Iraq should be submitted.
- It is necessary to procure and
approval from the Iraq office.
- Blood test report for HIV
should be submitted to get an Iraq business visa.
